U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson has launched a second TV ad that featured people praising his “right-to-try” legislation for allowing the use of experimental drugs to treat COVID-19.
Johnson’s campaign said the ad will run statewide on broadcast and cable TV, but didn’t release other details.
It features Joel Webb, who says he contracted COVID in October and was “pretty sure I was at the end of my rope.” Webb said he was put on the experimental medication aviptadil and was a “new man” the next morning.
Jennifer Webb says Johnson’s work saved her husband’s life.
“Because of Ron Johnson’s Right to Try bill, I have my husband today,” she says.
