Campaign Has Over $1 Million Cash on Hand

MADISON, WI – Attorney General Josh Kaul announced today that his campaign raised over $675,000 in the last campaign finance period and will be reporting over $1,000,000 cash on hand.

These totals are well above previous AG campaigns at a comparable point in the race. For comparison, Attorney General Brad Schimel reported $271,774.52 raised and $529,258.16 on hand as of the end of 2017.

“At a time when politics is consumed by partisanship and gridlock, AG Kaul has gotten things done, been an independent voice, and served as a watchdog for Wisconsinites. Our record-breaking fundraising numbers reflect how much enthusiasm there is for the work he has done and for reelecting him as attorney general,” said campaign manager Sondra Milkie. “We look forward to continuing to talk with folks from across the state about AG Kaul’s record and vision for his next term as the campaign continues.”

As Attorney General, Josh Kaul has prioritized public safety. His administration has investigated and prosecuted serious crimes, strengthened the state’s response to sexual assault, and protected democracy and the will of the voters.

Before serving as Attorney General, Josh Kaul was a federal prosecutor in Baltimore, one of America’s most violent cities. There, Kaul prosecuted murderers, gang members, and drug traffickers, taking dangerous criminals off the street and making communities more secure. He grew up in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac in a family of law enforcement professionals and teachers.
