MADISON, Wis. — Today, the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin announced their endorsement of Attorney General Josh Kaul’s re-election campaign.

“Wisconsin’s fire fighters work on the frontlines, protecting people’s safety, and we know it’s critical for the safety of our communities that we keep Josh Kaul in the AG’s Office. We know we can count on AG Kaul to put public safety and our first responders ahead of partisan politics and special interests,” said Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin President Mahlon Mitchell.

“Public safety is my top priority as Attorney General, and I’m proud to stand with the fire fighters and first responders from across the state who work day in and day out to keep our communities safe. I’m grateful to the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin for their endorsement of my re-election campaign,” said Attorney General Josh Kaul.

As Attorney General, Josh Kaul has been a steadfast advocate for first responders. In 2021, AG Kaul helped keep first responders and other Wisconsinites safe by determining that the Wisconsin building code requirements for sprinkler systems in multi-family dwellings are enforceable. AG Kaul has also worked to hold opioid companies accountable for their role in the opioid crisis, helping to secure more than $400 million for the fight against the opioid epidemic that can go towards, among other things, getting our first responders resources they need to save lives. In addition, AG Kaul supported legislation that would make it easier for first responders who contracted COVID-19 to get worker’s compensation benefits, a provision that was blocked by Republican politicians in the Legislature.
