[Waukesha, WI] – Jason Church, a combat veteran, purple heart recipient, and former candidate for Congress officially endorses Rebecca Kleefisch. Church highlights Rebecca’s leadership experience as a quality that puts her ahead of all the other candidates for governor.

“It is an honor to endorse my friend, and the next Governor of Wisconsin, Rebecca Kleefisch. As a fighter, Lt. Governor Kleefisch battled for the conservative reforms that made Wisconsin one of the best places to live,” Church said.  “When she becomes governor, she’ll bring the strength to implement bold ideas and create a more prosperous Wisconsin. As a veteran of the War in Afghanistan, I know what strong leadership looks like in hard circumstances. Rebecca Kleefisch is the best person to lead Wisconsin as our governor.”

Church, a Wisconsin native, commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army after graduating from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. While deployed to Afghanistan in 2012, Church was involved in an IED explosion, resulting in the loss of both of his legs below the knee. Upon his medical retirement, Jason advocated for veterans issues and attended the University of Wisconsin Law School before running for Congress in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District. Church and his wife, Bella, now live in Southeast Wisconsin, where they are actively involved in community outreach, veterans issues, and conservative policy making.
