[Waukesha, WI] – Rebecca Kleefisch released the following statement Friday calling on Governor Tony Evers to fire Parole Board Commission Chairman John Tate:
“Governor Evers needs to lead,” Rebecca Kleefisch said. “Fire Tate and stand up for victims — not killers. He works for you, not the other way around.”
On Thursday, Evers dodged questions from reporters looking for answers as to why the Parole Commission plans to release Douglas Balsewicz after serving only 25 years out of his 80-year sentence. Balsewicz stabbed his wife 42 times in front of his two children.
