[Waukesha, Wis.] — On the 50th anniversary of Title IX, in the middle of an assault on biological facts by liberal activists in sports, candidate for governor Rebecca Kleefisch released the following statement:

“Today marks 50 years of Title IX. This law opened up the sports arena to women and allowed opportunities across the nation for females in athletics. But today, women athletes are under attack.

“Biological females shouldn’t be forced to compete with biological males. I’m not sure why this is so difficult — men and women are genetically built differently. It’s not fair to our daughters to allow men to play women’s sports. It’s literally why Title IX was created.

“As governor, Wisconsinites can count on me to fight for our daughters who participate in athletics. They deserve to compete on a fair playing field.”
