[Waukesha, WI] – Gov. Tony Evers vetoed legislation on Friday that would have given parents more choices for their kids’ educations, further solidifying his anti-education freedom record as governor.

“Tony Evers’ vetoes make it clear that he thinks education bureaucrats should have more of a say in a child’s education than their own parents. As long as he’s governor, Tony Evers will never stop putting the education establishment ahead of kids and their parents,” said Rebecca Kleefisch, candidate for governor. “When I’m governor, I will put kids and parents first and ensure that families can decide what education options are best for their children. Our kids are our kids, they are not wards of the state.”
