[Waukesha, Wis.] — The Wisconsin Bear Hunters’ Association (WBHA) announces its endorsement of former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch for Governor of Wisconsin.

Lt. Gov. Kleefisch had a proven track record of protecting the traditions and values of the hunting community during her eight years of work in the Walker Administration. Her support for Wisconsin hunters continues to be evident by her attendance at the Wisconsin Bear Hunters’ Association’s Spring Annual Convention, her strong backing of Second Amendment rights, defense of freedom, and her family’s strong hunting heritage. We know as Governor, she will continue to listen to the voices of hunters across the state as we advocate on issues that impact our livelihood.

“When you spend as much time in the Wisconsin woods as my family does, you know what issues are important to Wisconsin hunters,” said candidate for governor Rebecca Kleefisch. “I’m proud to have the trust and support of Wisconsin bear hunters, and I will always be a strong advocate for Wisconsin’s sporting heritage.”

The Wisconsin Bear Hunters’ Association’s nearly 3,000 members will continue to advance strong policies that safeguard hunting rights in our state, including:

  • Proper wolf management, specifically the delisting of wolves from the Federal Endangered Species list.
  • Expansion of hunting opportunities for all forms of hunting.
  • Continued defense of hunting and baiting on all public lands.

The Wisconsin Bear Hunters’ Association is confident Rebecca Kleefisch, as Governor, will hear our concerns, fight for our freedoms, make educated decisions for Wisconsin’s great outdoor sporting heritage, and protect the rights of sportsmen and sportswomen across the state.
