NEW BERLIN – The Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers of Wisconsin released their endorsement of Alex Lasry for United States Senate today.

“The Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers of Wisconsin are proud to endorse Alex Lasry to be the next U.S. Senator from Wisconsin,” said Jim Vick, Business Manager. “Our union has never endorsed in a primary before, but our members came to union leadership and said that Alex  is our candidate and we need to get involved to help get him elected.

“We know that Alex will be a champion for working families and their issues in Congress. Unlike too many politicians who just talk, we have seen firsthand Alex’s commitment through his work on the Fiserv Forum and the Deer District where he partnered directly with organized labor to build a world class facility.

“We appreciate that Alex has made support of organized labor one of the key components of his campaign. We also recognize that Alex’s campaign has done what no other Senate campaign in Wisconsin has done before by having a unionized workforce.

“Alex doesn’t just talk about supporting organized labor, he delivers,” Vick concluded.

“I couldn’t be more excited and grateful to have the support of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers of Wisconsin,” said Alex Lasry. “Since day one, I have said that I will put Wisconsin’s working people at the center of my campaign. It is a true honor to have the most highly skilled masonry-trowel trades craftworkers in the state of Wisconsin as part of my team to bring real change to Washington.”

The Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers of Wisconsin join the Wisconsin Pipe Trades Association, Teamsters Joint Council 39, IBEW Local 494, Operating Engineers Local 139, and IATSE Local 18 in endorsing Alex Lasry for U.S. Senate.

The Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers District Council represents craftworkers in the trowel trades across the state of Wisconsin. This includes bricklayers, stone and marble masons, cement masons, plasterers, tilesetters, terrazzo and mosaic workers, and pointers/cleaners/caulkers.
