Milwaukee – Tonight, Alex Lasry delivered closing remarks at the Marquette Democratic Primary Debate for U.S. Senate. Below are the remarks:

Well, thank you all for having us. And thank you for hosting this debate.

Since day one, I’ve been running as a Make It in America Democrat trying to make sure that we have someone in Washington who can get things done. And I’ve got that proven track record.

We didn’t just talk about raising wages. We did it. We didn’t just talk about creating jobs. We created 10,000 good-paying union jobs and brought investment here to this state. We’re also the only campaign to have a unionized campaign staff. These values matter to us.

Ron Johnson, unfortunately, has only been working to pass a tax cut for himself and ensure that it’s easier to ship jobs overseas and try to overthrow an election.

When I think about my daughter Eleanor, who’s 11 months old, I’m not thinking about November, I’m thinking about 10, 20 years from now. Will she be living in Ron Johnson’s Wisconsin where women can’t make their own healthcare decisions? Where kids are living in fear of gun violence and workers are being left behind every day? Or will she live in the Wisconsin that we know and love and fear is slipping away?

I’m asking for your vote because together we can make sure that we’re not just fighting for these values, but we’re delivering.

The Democratic Primary Election for the United States Senate will be held Tuesday, August 9th, 2022. For more information about Alex Lasry’s campaign, visit www.alexlasry.com.
