Milwaukee – Today, in response to Ron Johnson voting against the CHIPS Act, Alex Lasry released the following statement:

“Do-nothing Ron Johnson has once again shown us that he is all talk and no action. Today, he voted against advancing the bipartisan CHIPS Act–legislation that will create jobs and curb supply chain issues. Ron Johnson has even called for manufacturing more critical chips here at home, but when push comes to shove, he votes against its advancement in the Senate. For over a decade, Johnson has pretended to care about issues like these when talking to voters, but his record on the floor shows us that he couldn’t care less about bringing jobs back to Wisconsin.

“Ron Johnson has failed time and time again to bring jobs and investment back to Wisconsin, and has even actively shipped jobs away to other states and countries. He has once again rejected bringing countless good union jobs back home and he knows that won’t fly with Wisconsinites.

“While Ron Johnson has been shipping jobs out of Wisconsin, I’ve been bringing them in, and that’s the kind of experience I want to take to Washington. I’m a “Make it in America Democrat” that will partner with Tammy Baldwin to bring critical investments back to Wisconsin. I have a proven record of raising wages, bringing jobs and investments to our state, and building things right here in Wisconsin. That’s the record I’ve had my entire career and it’s exactly what I’ll do as Wisconsin’s next U.S. Senator.”

The Democratic Primary Election for the United States Senate will be held Tuesday, August 9th, 2022. For more information about Alex Lasry’s campaign, visit www.alexlasry.com.
