Racine, WI, March 19, 2022 – Joseph Kexel, chairman of the Libertarian Party of Southeast Wisconsin, announces that Maria S. Lazar is that group’s unanimous choice for the Wisconsin State Court of Appeals, District 2. Kexel continued, “She clearly is the choice for upholding our state constitution and judging law by how it reads, not by how one wishes it reads.”

Kexel added, “This is the Libertarian Party of Southeast Wisconsin’s first official endorsement. We have chosen to be more active in non-partisan races by supporting those that we feel are freedom minded. Libertarians in general believe that the Law is one of the pillars our society is built upon. Just or not, any law must be interpreted by what is says. If, it is unjust, we may change it. However, a system where the Law can be interpreted in different ways based on the political wind of the moment makes that critical pillar not of steel or stone, but of gelatin. That is a clear threat to our society.“

“Maria S. Lazar is great choice for this position and Wisconsin’s District 2 would be well served by her”, finished Kexel.
