MADISON — Today, LTC. (Ret.) Alexander Vindman announced his endorsement of Mandela Barnes in the Democratic Senate primary. Vindman, a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel, is the former Director of European Affairs for the United States National Security Council.

“I am so honored to have the endorsement of Lt. Colonel (Ret.) Vindman,” said Lt. Governor and U.S. Senate candidate Mandela Barnes. “In the face of relentless attacks on our democracy in Washington, we need people of integrity and conviction like Alexander Vindman now more than ever. Protecting our democracy from extremists like Ron Johnson is the fight of our time, and I am honored to have the support of Alexander Vindman in that fight.”

“Our democracy is on the ballot in 2022, and that is why I am endorsing Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin,” said LTC. (Ret.) Alexander Vindman. “Mandela’s campaign to defeat Ron Johnson is not only going to be one of the most competitive races in the entire country. It is also a critical opportunity to unseat an extremist Republican incumbent who spreads disinformation, undermines U.S. national security, and threatens the future of our democracy. Mandela is our best chance to defeat Ron Johnson in November.”
