Once Again, Barnes Exposed Johnson’s Anti-Choice Record and Commitment to Putting Himself and His Wealthy Donors First
MADISON — Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, candidate for U.S. Senate, once again won tonight’s debate. Throughout the debate, Barnes forcefully called out Johnson’s callous support for an abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest, his effort to overturn the will of the people on Jan. 6, and his record of enriching himself and his donors at the expense of Wisconsin taxpayers.

  • WATCH: Barnes holds Johnson accountable for his extreme, anti-choice record: “In Ron Johnson’s America, women don’t get to make the best choices for their health.”
  • WATCH: Barnes takes Johnson to task about Johnson’s work to line the pockets of himself and his millionaire donors: “We’re paying for that. Working-class families are footing the bill for millionaire lifestyles, and that has to stop.”
  • WATCH: Barnes on Johnson’s plan to put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block: “He’s coming for your retirement.”
  • WATCH: Barnes’ opening statement: “Ron Johnson is going to try to run and hide from his record, but he can’t hide from the truth.”
