New Berlin – Dave Maxey, a member of the New Berlin City Council and past President of the New Berlin Board of Education, announced his campaign to represent the 15th Assembly District.

“As a husband, father and community leader I know the issues that are important to this community and its families,” said Maxey. “I am running for State Assembly because I want to bring family values and my experience serving needs of the community to Madison”

Dave graduated from Brookfield East High School in 1991, where he then began his public service by joining the Navy. He served on board the USS Leftwich. After which he attended Waukesha County Technical College where he earned an associate degree in Marketing. He has enjoyed a successful 25+ year career in sales and marketing.

In 2003 he and his wife built their home in New Berlin. That same year they had their first of three children. When his children came of school age (2008) Dave ran for and won a seat on the New Berlin Board of Education. When asked why he stated he wanted to take an active role in his children’s education. He served on the Board for nine years, six as the President of that Board. Missing public service, Dave again ran for office and won a seat on the New Berlin City Council. He enjoys the opportunity to work with families, business owners, and organizations to find solutions to the issues facing the community.

“Growing up in Wisconsin, the work ethic that Wisconsinites are known for runs through my veins, and I look forward to working hard for and with the residents, business leaders and organizations of Assembly District 15.” added Maxey “they deserve someone who will work as hard for them as they do for their families.

Dave and his wife Tracy live in New Berlin, WI, and have been married for 20 years. They have two daughters and a son.
