Menomonie, WI—Today, Eau Claire City Councilmember Rod Jones endorsed Deb McGrath in her campaign for Wisconsin’s third Congressional District. Deb McGrath is a former Army Captain, CIA officer, and working mother of three. Councilmember Rod Jones holds an at large position on the Eau Claire City Council and is a professor at UW-Eau Claire.

“Deb McGrath is the proven leader we need at this critical time in Wisconsin, and I am proud to endorse her for Congress,” said Eau Claire City Councilmember Rod Jones. “She has served our country for decades in both the Army and CIA, and has what it takes to work with others to accomplish what is best for our country. Deb will advocate for affordable healthcare, expanded broadband, and greater investments in education, and is the strong leader Wisconsin’s third Congressional district deserves.”

“I am proud to be endorsed by Councilmember Rod Jones,” said Deb McGrath. “I am inspired by both his advocacy for the Eau Claire community as a City Councilmember, and his dedication to education as a professor at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. His support is vital as I fight to bring greater investments in education, affordable healthcare and broadband to Wisconsin’s third Congressional District.”

Councilmember Jones’ endorsement comes amidst a swell of local and grassroots support for McGrath. Eau Claire City Councilmember Emily Berge, Eau Claire City Councilmember Emily Anderson, Assemblymember Dana Wachs (ret), and over a dozen farmers, activists, and community leaders have endorsed McGrath for WI-03.
