Menomonie, WI—Today, Elect Democratic Women endorsed Deb McGrath for Wisconsin’s third Congressional district. Elect Democratic Women (EDW) was formed by Democratic Congresswomen who understand that Congress cannot and will not address the urgent needs facing women and their families by a Congress where less than one in five representatives are women. Deb McGrath is a former Army Captain, CIA Officer, and mother of three. If elected, she will be the first woman to serve Wisconsin’s third District in Congress.

“Deb McGrath is the proven leader we need in this critical moment,” said Congresswoman Lois Frankel, Chair of EDW. “Voters in Wisconsin’s third Congressional district have the opportunity to support a candidate who has selflessly served in the toughest war zones during her 25 years of national security experience. She will be a champion for our families, our economy, and our nation. Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Deb, I look forward to serving alongside her in Congress.”

“Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Deb McGrath for Wisconsin’s third Congressional district,” said Congresswoman Annie Kuster, founding member of EDW. “Deb has lived a life of service to our country, first as an Army Captain and then a CIA Officer. She will be a tireless advocate for Wisconsinites in Congress, and is the determined and dedicated leader we need.”

“I am honored to be endorsed by Elect Democratic Women, and proud to share their mission,” said Deb McGrath. “I am no stranger to leading from the front. I was the only woman in my airborne training course, have led in hardship and warzone posts and, if elected, will be the first woman to have ever held this seat. I will fight for accessible healthcare, affordable housing, and broadband for the people of Wisconsin’s third Congressional District. I am privileged to have EDW’s support in this fight.”
