Menomonie, WI–Former Army Captain, CIA Officer, and candidate for Wisconsin’s third Congressional district Deb Baldus McGrath released the following statement on the primary election:

“I want to thank my family, campaign workers, and friends old and new for their dedication and belief in our mission. While the election results are not what we hoped for, I am proud that we built a movement prioritizing experience, patriotism, and pragmatism over the past 10 months.

As I have said many times–our nation is in crisis. Our capitol was attacked on January 6th, our reproductive rights have been revoked, and inflation is sky high. Over 25 years of serving our country as a Captain in the Army and in the CIA, I learned to run toward the fire—never from it. And that is why I ran for Congress. I have always done whatever was needed to serve our country, and now, I offer my congratulations to Brad Pfaff. I will work to help him defeat Derrick Van Orden, because nothing is more important than Democrats holding the House this year.”
