Michael Best Strategies announced that Bill McCoshen and Andrea Riccio have been named Political Directors for the company. McCoshen, a Partner in the Wisconsin office of Michael Best Strategies, and Riccio, a Principal in the Washington D.C. office of Michael Best Strategies, have also been added to the Strategies PAC Board.
“Bill and Andrea have a wealth of political and policy experience and we look forward to each of them sharing their expertise with our clients and key stakeholders across our multi-state and federal platform,” said Strategies President Rob Marchant. “Being a trusted, go-to advisor on political matters is critical to any successful lobbying operation. We are fortunate to have skilled and insightful experts such as Bill and Andrea leading of this aspect of our business,” Marchant added.
McCoshen was Managing Partner of Capitol Consultants for 23 years prior to joining Strategies in October 2021. He also served as Commerce Secretary, chief of staff, and as campaign manager for former Wisconsin Governor Tommy G. Thompson. McCoshen is an award-winning political pundit and is widely regarded for his strategic approach to politics and policy. He regularly advises GOP candidates for major statewide offices in Wisconsin.
Riccio is a seasoned Capitol Hill veteran with extensive experience working with members of Congress and their staff. While on Capitol Hill, she served as Deputy Director for the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, under Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and then-Chairman, Steve Israel, who is now a member of the Michael Best Board of Advisors. While at the DPCC, Riccio headed House Democratic messaging during the 2016 election cycle. Riccio has served in other influential roles on Capitol Hill informing her keen political insight to Strategies clients.
