WEST ALLIS, Wisc. – Today, as he doles out taxpayer dollars to bolster his campaign, Tony Evers is attempting to cover up his disastrous public safety record. Evers fails to support law enforcement and emboldens criminals, but today he pretends to care about public safety.

“Tony Evers is using first responders as props to cover for his failed record of releasing brutal murderers back into Wisconsin communities,” said Michels Campaign Spokesperson Anna Kelly. “Unfortunately for Evers, no amount of EMS can put out the flames of his flailing campaign, and no prop check can paper over his policy failures.”

In addition to his abysmal public safety record, which includes letting Kenosha burn, refusing to hold Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm accountable, and allowing cities to defund the police, Tony Evers broke his 2018 campaign promise to “not release violent criminals.”

According to Wisconsin Right Now, at least 884 convicted criminals have been released early by Tony Evers’ Parole Commission and are now living in Wisconsin communities. The list of offenders includes more than 270 murderers and attempted murderers, as well as more than 44 child rapists. This prompted Tim Michels to send a letter to Evers demanding an immediate halt to the work of the Wisconsin Parole Commission and Pardon Advisory Board.

Tim Michels will champion law enforcement and keep Wisconsin communities safe. Read his Back the Blue-print here.
