MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – In response to Tony Evers’ claims at a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee roundtable today that “companies aren’t going to move to Wisconsin if they think it’s an art wasteland…it’s not gonna happen,” Tim Michels released the following statement:

“I support the arts and believe in cultural enrichment, but this may be the dumbest thing that Evers has ever said. As someone who has created thousands of private sector jobs in the real world, I assure you companies want an educated workforce, safe communities, and affordable energy. Art is not a key factor on where to locate and grow jobs. Tony Evers is out-of-touch and has no idea how to lead on economic issues.”
