MILWAUKEE – Today Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson announced the completion of new technology in the Milwaukee County Board Room which allows the Board to conduct hybrid meetings and increase accessibility for Milwaukee County residents.

“The last two years of navigating the public health emergency presented by the COVID-19 pandemic propelled us to reimagine how we hold meetings to maximize accessibility for residents who want to participate in the legislative process,” said Chairwoman Nicholson. “These much-needed improvements expand the opportunity for members of the Board to participate in-person or virtually and for our residents to follow the actions of the Board. This is a step forward for accessibility and transparency in government and is in line with our vision of advancing equity.”

Tomorrow, Chairwoman Nicholson will lead a Committee of the Whole meeting in the Board Room to hear the presentation of the 2023 Recommended Budget delivered by County Executive David Crowley. The budget address will be delivered at 9:30 a.m. during a hybrid meeting.

The presentation will be live streamed on the County Legislative Information Center.
