MILWAUKEE – On Tuesday, November 15, Supervisor Sheldon A. Wasserman in partnership with the Milwaukee County Parks Department, County Executive David Crowley, and the Lake Park Friends group will hold a reopening ceremony for the historic Lake Park Ravine Road Bridge.

The event will take place tomorrow from 1–3 PM in Lake Park and will include a ribbon cutting, champagne toast, and remarks.  

Food and drinks from Lake Park Bistro will be provided. 

A resolution was offered by Supervisor Wasserman in 2021 which authorized and directed a transfer of $1,000,000 from the Milwaukee County Board’s contingency fund to the Lake Park Ravine Road Bridge for the purposes of contracting with a vendor for restoration of the bridge. It passed unanimously.Lake Park Friends has committed $300,000 for bridge maintenance over the next five decades.
