MILWAUKEE – On September 20, 2022, from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM Milwaukee County residents are invited to celebrate National Voter Registration Day at the Sherman Phoenix Marketplace’s Inaugural Voter Registration Kick Back event. Milwaukee County Supervisor Peter Burgelis issued the following statement in support of their efforts.

“It is vital to a functioning democracy that everyone exercise their right to vote,” said Supervisor Burgelis. “Making your voice heard this November, and in every election, is how we further empower marginalized communities and advocate for the issues that speak to us. I’d like to personally thank CRGE, Community Change, Nō Studios, and the Sherman Phoenix Marketplace for registering residents, answering questions, and putting together this one-of-a-kind event.”

2022 marks National Voter Registration Day’s 10th anniversary. Founded in 2012, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right – the right to vote.

National Voter Registration Day -Voter Registration Kick Back is a partnership between CRGE, Community Change, Nō Studios, and the Sherman Phoenix Marketplace. The event aims to assist the community with voter registration, voter engagement, and launching the “My Vote Your Voice Campaign”.
