MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Supervisor Sequanna Taylor will host this year’s “McGovern Night Out” on Wednesday, June 29 from 5-7 p.m.
The event is an opportunity for neighbors to socialize and learn more about community organizations that provide essential services. Residents will be able to interact with elected officials who represent neighborhoods surrounding McGovern Park.
This year’s event will include a cookout, DJ, kickball game, the Milwaukee Art Museum presents Kohl’s Art Studio, and a food giveaway from Dream Team MKE. Attendees will also receive two free passes to the zoo.
Milwaukee County departments including Health and Human Services, Milwaukee County Transit System, Sherriff’s Office, House of Corrections, Milwaukee County Parks, Department of Transportation, and Office of Equity will be present with resource booths. The Milwaukee County Department of Human Resources will have a job recruitment booth at the event.
Other community partners who will be present at the event include Milwaukee Fire Department Engine 8, Milwaukee Police Department District 4, Father’s Making Progress, Milwaukee Fatherhood FIRE, and the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center.
