MILWAUKEE – Charles Franklin, Professor of Law and Public Policy and director of the Marquette Law School Poll, will be the featured guest at a Newsmaker Luncheon set for noon on Tuesday, November 15, hosted by the Milwaukee Press Club and WisPolitics.com.

Franklin will present an analysis of the results of the November 8 mid-term election, focusing on Wisconsin’s races for governor between incumbent Gov. Tony Evers [D] and challenger Tim Michels [R]; and for U.S. Senate between incumbent Sen. Ron Johnson [R] and challenger Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes [D]. Franklin has been director of the law school poll since its inception in 2012. Since then, the poll has been recognized as the definitive source for information about public opinion in Wisconsin.

Franklin will take questions from a panel of journalists and from the audience at the luncheon, to be moderated by Milwaukee Press Club President Maryann Lazarski, editorial producer for Milwaukee PBS. The event is set for 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub, 137 E. Wells St.

The media panel:
Craig Gilbert – Fellow, Marquette Law School Lubar Center for Public Policy Research
Diana Gutierrez – Anchor/Reporter, WISN 12 News
Corrinne Hess – Reporter, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
