Norman was named acting police chief in December 2020 and named Chief of Police in November 2021, wrapping up a year of turmoil over the city’s top law enforcement position.
He will give an update on his new role, community outreach and goals to address reckless driving and violent crime in the city. With more than 190 homicides this year, Milwaukee has broken the murder rate for the second year in a row.
Norman will take questions from a panel of journalists and from the audience at the luncheon, set for 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub, 137 E. Wells St.
The media panel:
Elliot Hughes, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Aaron Maybin, Fox 6 WITI
Hilary Mintz, WISN-TV
