MILWAUKEE – Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, who is seeking the U.S. Senate seat held by incumbent Sen. Ron Johnson, will be the featured guest at a Newsmaker event set for Tuesday, November 1 hosted by the Milwaukee Press Club,  WisPolitics.com and the Rotary Club of Milwaukee. The breakfast event will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center, 750 N Lincoln Memorial Drive.

Barnes, a Democrat who was elected lieutenant governor in 2018 along with Gov. Tony Evers is challenging Johnson, a Republican seeking his third term. [The Johnson campaign has not responded to a standing invitation to be the featured guest at a Newsmaker event prior to the General Election November 8.]

Barnes will take questions from a panel of journalists and from the audience at the event, which will include breakfast.
