MILWAUKEE – County Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones shared her excitement to represent Milwaukee County on the City-County Joint Task Force on Climate and Economic Equity and the Combined Community Services Board.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to expand on my public service by contributing to these vital bodies,” said Supervisor Coggs-Jones. “Each of these bodies are examples of the collaborative approach we need to lead our county and neighborhoods toward a more vibrant, sustainable and equitable future. I look forward to working with my new colleagues and seeing all that we can accomplish.”

The City-County Task Force on Climate and Economic Equity was created in 2019 and is tasked with reducing community-wide net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 45% by the year 2030 and achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner.

The task force released a preliminary report in March 2020, and continues to work on final recommendations to be given to the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors and Milwaukee Common Council.

The Combined Community Services Board is tasked with advising policy and budget for Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services Disabilities Services.

The board’s priorities for 2022-2023 include collaborating for advocacy opportunities across all DHHS programs; providing the vital voice of the community into services; improving access to care; and focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion.
