After another challenging year, the MPS Foundation will celebrate 38 remarkable students and award them more than $250,000 in total scholarships, eclipsing the Foundation’s previous high. The awardees mirror the robust diversity of Milwaukee, with 93% being students of color and 31 of the 38 will be first-generation college students. This event is free and open to the public.
Hundreds applied for 21 scholarships, and these select few rose to the top because of their compelling applications. Families, friends, donors, and community members will gather at No Studios’ “Skyline Room,” a glass-enclosed rooftop space that overlooks the Milwaukee skyline, to send the students off in style.
WHERE: No Studios, 1037 W. McKinley Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53205
WHEN: Wednesday, July 27 at 5-7p
The event will feature dinner from Jamaican-themed restaurant, Pepperpot and music from DJ Bizzon, as well as a formal presentation that celebrates the achievements of the MPS Class of 2022 students who have been awarded MPS Foundation Scholarships.
