APPLETON, Wis. (July 25, 2022) – On Thursday, July 28 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., the Multicultural Coalition, Inc. (MCI) will hold a free COVID-19 vaccination event at Kiwanis Park, located at 2315 N Nicholas Street in Appleton (map).
“School is right around the corner, and we know another variant of the COVID-19 disease is out there as well,” explained Dr. Pam Her, board member of MCI. “This vaccination event is a perfect time for families, especially those with young children, to come out, get vaccinated, have some ice cream, watch some volleyball or just play in the park and enjoy summer while staying healthy.“
First, second and/or booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccine will be provided to those six months and older. ID and health insurance are not required.
This community-led event features:
- Interpreters for those who speak Hmong or Spanish
- Hmong youth volleyball tournament in the park sponsored by NEW Hmong Professionals and CrossCourt Conversations
- Free food and ice cream
- Free books for kids
- Diapers and personal hygiene products for those who need them
