The national Associated Builders and Contractors says it’s doing six figures in digital ads featuring former national Chair Steve Klessig, of Wisconsin, praising U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Oshkosh.

The ads will target voters through mobile devices, tablets and computers while they are on ad-enabled news publishers, as well as streaming TV services.

Klessig in the ad says the Oshkosh Republican has “voted time and time again to protect free enterprise” in Wisconsin. The ad notes Johnson voted against the “reckless” Inflation Reduction Act and opposes the “harmful” PRO Act, which would expand collective bargaining rights.

“He built a strong business of his own, he didn’t need to get into politics,” Klessig says of Johnson. “But he went there to fight for us.”
