Deam U.S. Senate candidate Tom Nelson released a new digital ad charging U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson hasn’t done anything about gun-related school incidents, even though they’ve increased from 15 when he was elected in 2010 to 249 last year.

Nelson’s campaign said the ad is running on digital platforms, but didn’t release other details.

Nelson says in the ad he shouldn’t have to worry about his kids when he drops them off at school, but does. He vows if elected to support proposals such as red flag laws and an assault rifle ban, saying they’re “simple things to make our schools safer because I’m tired of this.”

The ad then plays audio of a dispatcher saying there is an active shooter situation in a school and a parent asking “can you hide somewhere?” Nelson closes the spot saying he approves of the ad, “whether the NRA likes it or not.”
