Madison, WI — NextGen America, the largest youth voter organization in the country, will educate and engage young voters at University of Wisconsin-Madison campus on Friday, September 2. NextGen organizers will be answering students’ questions on voting and collecting pledges to vote at a ‘NextGen Tailgate’ to celebrate the start of the school’s football season. Ahead of November’s midterms, NextGen’s Wisconsin organizers aim to mobilize over 10,000 people to vote.

This voter education event is a part of NextGen’s national Welcome Week campaign throughout the months of August and September to engage and educate college students as they return to campus. This campaign includes more than 100 field organizers mobilizing across 115 college campuses in eight key battleground states. In Wisconsin, organizers will engage with future voters at Milwaukee Area Tech College, Marquette University, and UW Eau Claire among others.

Members of the media are invited to attend the event. For more information on logistics, please contact press@nextgenamerica.org.
