Today, small business owners commended Eric Toney’s commitment to meeting the challenges of public safety as a key factor in their endorsement for Wisconsin’s top law enforcement officer. Members of NFIB’s political action committee here in Wisconsin voted on the endorsement.
“Eric Toney has a strong commitment toward meeting the challenges of public safety,” said Bill G. Smith, NFIB State Director in Wisconsin, “he will aggressively address the growing challenge of crime on our Main Streets throughout Wisconsin, and has shown a sensible and fair approach toward the enforcement of regulations and laws that impact small and independent business.”
The NFIB Wisconsin PAC’s endorsement is important to these campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on key small-business issues.
