The Operating Engineers Local 139, the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters
(NCSRCC) and the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council are proud to endorse Bryan Steil in his
reelection bid for Wisconsin’s First Congressional District this November.

Steil is a strong supporter of the men and women in the building trades – a commitment he has
demonstrated through his vote in support of the Davis-Bacon Act throughout his time in
Congress. Through his efforts on the Middle Class Jobs Caucus and the Future Work Caucus,
Steil’s dedication to the workers building Wisconsin has put the State on the right path.

“Our members build Wisconsin and know the importance of getting a job done right the first
time – something Representative Steil understands from his time in the private sector,” said
Terry McGowan, President/Business Manager of Operating Engineers Local 139. “As we
continue to grow our organization, we are looking for elected leaders, like Steil, with the courage
to embrace policies like Davis-Bacon prevailing wages that support working people.”

“Representative Steil’s leadership and support of Davis-Bacon prevailing wages has contributed
to the preservation of living standards for our union’s members and their families, as well as
provided the stability for the construction industry where contractors will compete for projects
based on skill, and not on those who can put together the cheapest workforce,” added Kent
Miller, President/Business Manager of Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council.

“The Carpenters believe that we should back candidates based on their record of support of our
members and their families,” said Andrew Disch, Political Director of NCSRCC. “While serving
in Congress, Representative Steil has been a strong ally and partner on many issues, notably
Davis-Bacon. His record of support for our members has earned our organization’s support.”
