STAND WITH ASSANGE Rally April 2, Noon, at the Corner of Brady and Farwell – with Song Premiere, “When That Whistle Blows” by jamxs!

Publisher Julian Assange blew the whistle each time WikiLeaks published information about war crimes and corruption along with newspapers around the world.

At this rally on Saturday, April 2, at noon at the corner of Brady and Farwell, Milwaukee musician – jamxs – will premiere his new song “When That Whistle Blows” about publisher Assange and whistle-blowers Edward Snowden and Chelsea Manning.  Find jamxs on YouTube at:  https://youtube.com/channel/UC-SrVmgudyH1P5lBXlF1GYw

Besides a sing-along with jamxs, this rally (sponsored by Peace Action WI and Assange Defense MKE) will include words from jamxs, peace and justice activist George Martin, and Mark Foreman of Veterans for Peace Milwaukee.

The rally will conclude with a march up Brady Street starting at Farwell Avenue.

All are invited to join us. Defend press freedom. Learn how the United States is prosecuting Assange for publishing information the American people needed to know about what the government is doing in our names with our tax dollars.

As Julian Assange presciently said in 2011, “The goal is to use Afghanistan to wash money out of the tax bases of the US & Europe through Afghanistan and back into the hands of a transnational security elite. The goal is an endless war, not a successful war.”

Why is the truth being criminalized?  Join us on April 2nd to find out what you can do to protect press freedom.
