EAU CLAIRE — Today, State Senator and nominee for Congress Brad Pfaff traveled to Eau Claire to host a roundtable discussion with veteran and former CIA officer Deb McGrath and district veterans to discuss the challenges facing our veteran communities.
“Today I met with Eau Claire area veterans who are hardworking leaders in their communities and deserve a real patriot fighting for them in Washington, not an insurrectionist who tried to burn our country down,” said Brad Pfaff. “Like all families in our district and across Wisconsin, they are facing new challenges like high costs and old ones like access to affordable health care. I’m running to bring real results home from Washington; that’s why I’ve released a plan to drive down costs and why I’ve been speaking with veterans to elevate their concerns in Congress.”
Veterans want solutions, not Derrick’s radical record. Last week, the Pfaff campaign released an emotional new video featuring Wisconsin veterans condemning Derrick’s participation in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, calling his actions “the ultimate betrayal.” And in a recent ad, U.S. Army veteran Gaylord Oppegard tells Derrick that “patriots defend their country, they don’t try to burn it down.” Wisconsin veterans aren’t the only ones taking sides in this race; the National Security Leaders for America (NSL4A), a 500+ volunteer member organization comprised of four-star generals, former ambassadors and Cabinet staff, and national security experts have endorsed Brad’s campaign for Congress.
