LA CROSSE — Today, State Senator and nominee for Congress Brad Pfaff held a press conference outside the La Crosse County Courthouse to issue a formal debate challenge to his opponent, Derrick Van Orden.

“Voters in this district need and deserve accountability from their elected officials and candidates for Congress, which is why today I issued a formal challenge to my opponent to appear on stage at three separate venues to debate the issues facing this district,” said Brad Pfaff. “Anything short of a full acceptance of this challenge means that Derrick is either incapable of engaging in a candid and frank conversation about real solutions to voters’ real concerns, or he is too afraid of me and the voters of this district to risk a transparent and public event.”

Brad isn’t afraid of the people he hopes to represent, and he has been running a campaign on solutions. That’s why he released a plan to cut costs and fix broken supply chains by investing in domestic manufacturing, and why he toured district farms last week to meet with Wisconsin farmers and discuss the challenges they are facing.
