LA CROSSE — Today, the Brad Pfaff for Congress campaign renewed its call for three debates across the state and proposed the following outline for the debates.

Three town-hall style debates with one in La Crosse, Stevens Point, and Eau Claire respectively.

The events should be moderated, which is consistent with debates with this format, with audience questions submitted and asked through the moderator, who has the discretion to decide which questions will be asked.

The local media in each of these three areas should be invited to attend and participate to maximize the number of voters in the 3rd Congressional District who hear directly from the candidates.

“Given Derrick’s call for ‘town-halls’ across the district, I would be shocked if his campaign didn’t accept our challenge, especially given this suggested framework for how the debates will be conducted,” said Andrew Whitley, Campaign Manager at Brad Pfaff for Congress. “Make no mistake, if we hear more deflection from Derrick and his campaign, it’s only because he’s afraid to face the voters in the very district he hopes to represent.”
