Madison, WI – At their annual scholarship golf outing, the Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin (PIAW) awarded $24,500 in scholarships to students who are seeking future careers in the insurance industry or a related field, such as risk management. These scholarships are some of the largest private scholarships available in the state and are exclusive to those working to enter the field of insurance.

The scholarship recipients and their families were invited to attend the golf outing reception at Wild Rock Golf Club in the Wisconsin Dells on August 3rd. During the program, the students were formally recognized for their academic achievement and were presented with the congratulatory letters being sent to their schools with their scholarships.

“We were thrilled to recognize these talented students at our reception – meeting the students and learning about their future plans is really powerful. We are so thankful for our attendees and sponsors that make it possible to give back to our industry,” said PIAW President Ryan Butzke. “We need talented students like them in insurance, and we are thrilled to be able to help support them in their schooling.”

Scholarships totaling $24,500 are being distributed thanks to PIAW sponsors and attendees. These are the latest in now $300,000 in scholarships that have been awarded by PIAW since 2004.
