The Republican Attorneys General Association has launched a pair of 15-second TV ads supporting Fond du Lac DA Eric Toney and blasting Dem AG Josh Kaul.

The ad buys came from the Wisconsin Freedom PAC, an affiliate of the RAGA. The group filed a report with the Ethics Commission today detailing nearly $2.4 million in independent expenditures opposing Kaul since late September.

The group had more than $657,000 reserved on TV in the Milwaukee market over the final two weeks of the race, according to AdImpact.

The spot demands voters “fire Josh Kaul” and accuses him of letting “criminals get off easy.”

“Kaul let victims down, gutted the offices putting criminals in jail,” the narrator says. “Criminals get off easy, you pay the price.”

The narrator in the pro-Toney spot asks viewers to “stand with law enforcement” and vote for the 38-year-old GOP candidate.

“Toney will crack down on crime, putting criminals behind bars,” she says. “Over 100 police, sheriffs and prosecutors back Toney.”
