WAUKESHA, Wis. — State Representative Scott Allen (R-Waukesha) issued this statement today regarding the passing of Margaret Farrow:

“Yesterday, Waukesha County lost a prominent member of the community. Margaret Farrow fulfilled many roles throughout her life, demonstrating her passion for civic service.

“As a mother, grandmother, friend, a dedicated member of the church, and a leading pioneer of Wisconsin politics, Margaret Farrow devoted her life to public service. In 1976 Margaret was elected to the Elm Grove Village Board, and later as the Village President in 1981. From humble beginnings, she went on to serve in the legislature and later as Wisconsin’s first woman Lieutenant Governor.

“While fulfilling her vast amount of responsibilities, including serving the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Margaret still made it a priority above all to spend quality time with friends and family. Margaret’s legacy will continue to shine bright.

“I send my deepest condolences to the Farrow Family. Margaret will forever be missed by Waukesha County, and all of Wisconsin.”
