MADISON…State Representative Tyler (R-Lake Geneva) released the following statement regarding the announcement by State Representative Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) that he is not seeking re-election:
“It has been an honor to work with Jim over the past few years. As Majority Leader, Jim has excelled at a very difficult job. Our caucus will miss his leadership and guidance in the future.
Both Jim and I were elected in 2010 and were seatmates as freshman in the Assembly. We have not only worked closely as colleagues over the past decade, but I also consider him a good friend. I truly appreciate his passion to serve our state.
I thank his family for lending him to Madison over the years and wish Jim well in the future. I know he has the skills to excel at whatever is next on his path forward.”
