MADISON…State Representative Tyler (R-Lake Geneva) released the following
statement regarding the announcement that State Representative Jim Steineke is
resigning from the legislature:
“Jim has been an excellent Majority Leader for the Assembly Republican caucus.
His leadership will be greatly missed.
Jim and I came into the Assembly as part of the same freshman class. Over that
time period we worked closely on policy, legislation, and the overall operation of
the Assembly floor sessions.
Jim is not just a colleague, he is a close friend. I wish him and his family the best
in his future endeavors. Whatever the future holds, I know he will excel at it.”
