Madison- State Representative Janel Brandtjen (R- Menomonee Falls) issued the following statement regarding the full-time staff of Representative Timothy Ramthun and the 59th Assembly District:
“All of Wisconsin’s citizens deserve representation at the state level. The staff of legislative offices do so much more than just write “op-eds” and draft legislation. Citizens of Wisconsin continually ask their representatives for assistance with a variety of issues, including tax payments, transportation issues, professional licenses, veteran benefits and as of late, assistance obtaining unemployment insurance. There is good reason why every legislator, including freshman and minority party offices, should have at least one full-time staffer. Regardless of any contentious issue or which side of the aisle a representative may be on, everyone in Wisconsin deserves to have access to government agencies. With this in mind, I would hope that the Assembly Leadership Team would reconsider restoring a full-time staffer to Representative Ramthun and the 59th Assembly District.”
