MIDDLETON – State Representative Dianne Hesselbein (D-Middleton) released a statement today upon the announcement from State Representative Gordon Hintz (D-Oshkosh) that he would not be seeking reelection:

“I want to thank Gordon for his tireless service to his district and to the state of Wisconsin. The people of Oshkosh have had no greater champion in the legislature than Gordon Hintz. Even as Assembly Democratic Leader, Gordon never lost sight of his own constituents, ensuring that the decisions he made were always with their best interest in mind.

“As Gordon’s seatmate for the past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him bring together floor speeches that held everyone’s attention with his wit and deep knowledge of the topics at hand. I will miss his humor on the floor and his ability to disarm even the staunchest ideological adversaries. I will miss his devotion to our caucus and his steadfast commitment to moving our state forward.

“I wish Gordon well in his future endeavors and I thank him for his years of public service to our state.”
