MADISON –Gordon Hintz (D-Oshkosh) released the following statement after Governor Tony Evers’ State of the State address:
“Tonight, Governor Evers reminded all Wisconsinites how far we have come in the past year, and how important it is that we work together to address the challenges that lie before us,” Rep. Hintz stated. “I have always said that good policy is good politics, and that is demonstrated by the many accomplishments Governor Evers can claim today, including signing one of the largest tax cuts in state history, the largest rainy day fund allotment, lowest unemployment rate and number of people unemployed in state history, and large investments in workforce training.
“Throughout his time in office, and especially during the tumult of the last two years, one thing has remained constant with Governor Evers—prioritizing what is right for the people of our state over all other considerations.”
