Madison, Wis. – Rep. Dan Knodl (R-Germantown) issued the following statement after being named the Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Government Accountability and Oversight:

“I am honored to have the opportunity to chair this important committee again. Holding our unelected public officials accountable is one of the most important issues facing our state, and this committee will be focused on making state government as transparent as possible and not allowing the Madison bureaucracy to grow out of control. Leaving this administration unchecked will only lead to further unacceptable inefficiencies such as the appalling backlogs in processing unemployment claims and state licensing applications. This committee will be the starting point for coherent and capable state government, and I look forward to getting to work.”

Rep. Knodl’s other committee assignments include Jobs, Economy and Small Business Development and Regulatory Licensing Reform.

The 2023-24 24th Assembly District will include the communities of Germantown, Menomonee Falls, Mequon, and Grafton.
