MADISON – Following the circulation of the GOP’s proposed legislation, which would make reckless changes to our election administration, Assembly Democratic Leader Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) released the following statement:

“Today’s bills are yet another blatant attempt to impose a political agenda and partisan control over our nonpartisan elections process. Many of these proposals have already been rejected, and not a single one of them makes it easier for voters to participate in our democracy. These bills are part of a coordinated, national effort to help Republicans execute their political agenda by inserting partisan staff into our elections’ administration. Partisan politicians shouldn’t be rigging the rules of our elections.

“Wisconsin’s elections are free and fair, and the GOP’s continued attempts to undermine confidence in our democratic process needs to end.”
